Description of Work: We are a Grade A goat and sheep dairy and licensed cheese kitchen. Our cheesemaker has 15 years of experience in livestock farming and cheesemaking. We raise hogs in classic "tractors". We'll raise our own chickens, plus we raise lamb and chevon. An intern will work in all aspects, shovel work, planting, animal care including bottle feeding, milking, probably slaughtering, plus rub shoulders with cheese-making, will certainly build temporary and permanent fences and shelters, lots of serious fence building, irrigation installation and operation, intensive rotational grazing, weeding, general, mindless clean-up, cooking with fresh food, marketing. Expect to get stronger and more mechanically-minded, to appreciate the place and eat Real Good.
